Topic: San Francisco driver's rampage
Summary: John goes off>associated press article that fails to tie the incident to terrorism.
Classic Quote 1:
CARLSON: I'm noticing a story about the man Omeed Aziz Popal, who is now being referred to as Omeed Aziz Popal by the Associated Press, and no mention of what his motive may have been. No mention of terrorism. It's just like we saw in the Jewish federation. 'Well he's mentally ill'. Unlike the Jewish Federation guy, he didn't have mental health issues in his background, he basically just snapped.
Classic Quote 2:
CARLSON: Just because Al Qaeda didn't send him, doesn't mean this is not terror.
Classic Quote 3:
CARLSON: Now the Klu Klux Klan did not send those two guys to kill James Byrd. Nevertheless, the media did not miss the obvious angle that racism was involved. It didn't leave out the obvious hatred that these guys had for blacks in general, whether it was directed at James Byrd because he was black or it was a contributing factor, it's almost irrelevant. But my point here to you is, yeah they were acting along, yeah these guys also had mental and emotional issues, and they were thugs, basically what you would call white trash, but the media did not try to play down the race angle. So why is it that the Jewish Federation shooting here, and the San Francisco driver down there, the news media is deliberately looking for ways to play down the terrorism/muslim/anti-american angle and is instead zeroing in on his psychological state of mind, and whether he had a good job and decent relationship with women. This is a text-book example of liberal media bias, where if something does not reflect well on the liberal template they play it down, whereas if it does reinforce a liberal stereotype or judgement, they play it up. You know, and another example of that, Rodney King footage on everyone's TV screen day after day year after year, after the Rodney King beating, the Fat Tuesday beatings where blacks were attacking whites, latinos, and asians, appeared for a couple of days when it occurred but then it disappeared and you never heard it again.
Classic Quote 4:
CARLSON: This was terrorism. People, civilians randomly targeted by an Islamic fanatic and I don't care if he was upset about his marriage or if he was mentally unstable. Show me a terrorist who is!

Topic: Democrats support primary opponent to existing Democratic state senator
Guest: Tim Sheldon & Fran Moyer
Summary: John discusses Democratic party support of a primary challenger to Tim Sheldon and asks whether the Democrats are a small tent party since they want to purge a legislator who supported President Bush and Republican gubernatorial candidate Dino Rossi in 2004. John helps get out the word how Republicans can help elect Sheldon by requesting a Democrat ballot in the primary and gives the legislator his first endorsement of the election season. He also calls Sheldon's opponent, Kyle Taylor Lewis, "weird" in spite of never having met her. Ms. Moyer provides the opposing view and credibly explains why someone who votes with Republicans and supports Republican statewide candidate should probably not get the support of Democratic primary voters.
